RECOVERY AND FAMILY RESTORATION CENTER

We believe change is possible.  Our Recovery and Family Restoration Center is dedicated to helping clients,  couples, and families work through and heal from the impacts of all types of addiction: from substance use and gambling to sex, porn, or shopping addiction. We are also committed to helping families overcome the unique challenges of co-parenting, trauma, loss, life transitions, and mental health concerns. We are in-network with Aetna, Horizon, BCBS/Anthem/Empire, United Healthcare/Optum/Oxford, Meritain & 1199 SIEU plans.  We offer daytime, evening, and weekend appointments. All sessions are telehealth right now but we plan to re-open for clients in early 2022.  Read on to meet our team and request your first appointment.

Olga works with adults, couples, and families and specializes in recovery of all kinds from gambling and substance abuse to sex, porn, and shopping addiction. In her work with couples, Olga draws on the Gottman Method and has expereince supporting couples in recovery or with any family history of addiction.  In addition, Olga is able to support clients through this sensitive adjustment period, navigating challenges like trauma, depression, anxiety, and identity formation. She is also a trained hypnotherapist and uses CBT, DBT and REBT in her work.  Olga holds an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montclair State University and a masters in Psychology from her home country and provides services in English or Russian as needed.  She works Sunday 11 am - 7:30 pm, Monday 10 am - 6:30 pm., Tuesday 9 am - 5:30, Wednesday 2 pm - 8 pm, Thursday 8 am - 4:30 pm.  Olga is currently offering telehealth only but our offices will reopen soon.

CARLENE CHARLEMAGNE, BA, MBA

Carlene works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families with a focus on child and adolescent challenges, life transitions, religion and spirituality, career building, and navigating recovery and sobriety. Carlene combines years of experience in the business world and as a Life Coach with her therapeutic lens to help clients work through trauma, develop achievable goals, build their careers, and transforms the quality of their lives.  With couples and familes, she draws on the Gottman Method and Family Systems to reduce conflict and promote a cohesive and loving environment.  Carlene is one of our counseling interns and is pursuing her degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  She also holds an MBA, believes in serving her community, and is a proud family woman.  Carlene works Tuesdays 10am to 4pm, Wednesday 2pm to 8pm, and Friday 10am to 4pm, and Saturdays 9am to 5pm.

VANESSA LOPES, M.A. LAC

Vanessa works with teens, adults and couples and focuses on trauma care, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship and sexual issues.  In her work with teens, Vanessa focuses on understanding her client's world and their goals and helping from there, drawing in music and art therapy modalities.  In her work with couples, Vanessa draws on the Gottman Method and is passionate about providing sex-positive and affirming care supporting clients across a range from monogamous commitment to polyamorous and kink-affiliated relationships.  Vanessa utilizes an eclectic approach to counseling, pulling from feminist, attachment based, and existential views.  She works Mondays 12-9pm, Tuesday 8am to 6pm, Wednesday 8am to 3pm, Thursday 3pm - 9pm.  Sessions are all telehealth currently but we plan to open for office visits soon.

ROSA GOMEZ, MS, LMFT

Rosa earned her masters from Seton Hall University in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with couples, families, individuals, and teens, assisting them on their path to growth, healing, and happiness. In her work with couples, Rosa specializes in the Gottman Method, a research-based approach that offers practical tools to improve communication, engage in healthy conflict, and increase emotional connection. She has extensive experience working with couples who are struggling to connect, as well as families dealing with the stressors of life transitions, and individuals who want to address anxiety, depression, racial-related trauma, and substance abuse. In her work with individuals, Rosa draws on modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), contextual therapy, and solution-focused therapy. When working with families, Rosa draws on modalities such as structural family therapy (SFT) and emotionally-focused family therapy.  Rosa always tailors her approach to help clients meet their goals as she believes therapy is a collaborative effort. She works Mondays from 10-2, Tuesdays from 10-8, Wednesdays from 10-3/6-8:30, Thursdays from 10-8:30, and Fridays from 10-7.  Rosa is offering tele-health sessions only during COVID-19 but normally offers both in-person and video sessions.

AUDREY AUGUSTAVE, MA, LAC, LCADC, NCC

Audrey works exclusively with coparenting, couples and families. She specializes in helping family systems impacted by addition and/or mental health concerns and utilizes her extensive experience in the substance abuse field to help strengthen and rebuild connection. She is also enthusiastic about assisting couples through infidelity history, intimacy & sex concerns, major life transitions, and frequent miscommunication using the Gottman Method. Audrey believes strongly in blending an empathetic approach with a healthy dose of honest reflection by compassionately challenging her clients to reach their goals. In addition to her therapeutic work, Audrey runs a podcast “Un-Loc’d” where she explores mental health and identity related topics through the Caribbean lens, a population she is extremely passionate about serving. Audrey earned her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at New Jersey City University, is a Licensed Associate Counselor, a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and is beginning a Sex Counseling Certification. Audrey offers telehealth sessions on Mondays 11:00am – 6:30pm, Tuesdays 10:00am – 4:30pm, Wednesdays 11:00am – 5:30pm, Thursdays 9:00am – 5:00pm, and Sundays 9:00am – 7:00pm.
