Our center is in-network with Aetna, Horizon, BCBS, United Healthcare/Optum, Meritain & 1199 SIEU plans.  We offer daytime, evening, and weekend appointment times.  We work with couples, adults, teens, and children age 8 and above.  Right now, we are offering tele-health sessions only but will be re-opening this summer for office visits.

PRADNYA SHINDE, M.A., LPC, NCC

Psychotherapist, Jersey City Office (Providing Telehealth to NJ Residents)

Pradnya works with families, couples, adults, and children 8 years + with a special focus on children's issues, adult relationship issues, recovery from addiction and trauma, and postpartum care.  With children, she uses play therapy, sand therapy, and drama therapy to build confidence and help kids regulate their emotions.  Pradnya has worked in school settings and head start programs and has a systemic perspective on helping children succeed.  She is also completing her certificate in Perinatal Mental Health and has special expertise supporting women and families going through infertility, pregnancy and postpartum seasons.  Pradnya cares about supporting her clients as they overcome struggles, reclaim their power, and make informed decisions. She has her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New Jersey City University. Pradnya speaks English, Marathi and Hindi and is offering telehealth sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7am-2pm and 6pm-8pm, Tuesdays from 8am-3pm, and Fridays from 7am-1pm.

Amos works with adults, couples, teens, and kids, with a special focus on men's issues as well as on helping clients recover from trauma and abuse to move toward a happier, healthier, more authentic life.  In his work with kids and teens, Amos uses Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. In couples work, Amos draws on the Gottman method to increase emotional connection and improve communication.  He earned his Masters in Social Work from New York University, as well as his Masters in Fine Arts, and is a Licensed Social Worker.  Amos works Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 - 4 pm, Thursdays 12 pm-9 pm, and Sundays 2-9 pm. Currently he is offering telehealth sessions only but will also offer in-person appointments at our Bloomfield offices once they re-open.

Jillian works with adults, couples, teens and kids and has special expertise with the  older adult  populations. She is focused on helping clients to improve their quality of life and reach personalized goals. Her approach focuses on collaborative therapy sessions and strengths-based approach. In couples work, Jillian draws on the Gottman methods and works to foster improved emotional connection and improved communication. Jillian earned her Masters degree in social work from Rutgers University with a certificate in Aging and Health. Jillian is currently offering  telehealth sessions on Tuesdays 9:00am-11:00am, 1:00pm-8:00pm, Wednesdays  8:00am-2:00pm, Thursdays 2:00pm-8:00pm, Fridays 9:00am-11:00am, 1:00pm 8:00pm, and Saturdays 11:00am-7:00pm. KAMESHA WALKINS, MSW, LSW

Kamesha works with couples, adults, teens, children 8+ and families. She specializes in providing affirming and restorative therapy to LGBTQ+ youth and adults.  In her work with couples, Kamesha draws on the Gottman Method, an evidenced-based therapeutic approach that increases effective communication and emotional connection. She also has experience supporting individuals and families in overcoming substance abuse and healing from trauma or family violence.  Kamesha employs a trauma-informed lens and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Skill Building and Solution-Focused techniques to assist clients in identifying and working toward their goals. In her work with kids and teens, Kamesha uses Hip Hop, Spoken Word and other creative arts and pop culture activities to promote engagement.  She received her masters from Florida Atlantic University and is a Licensed Social Worker.  Kamesha works with clients Monday-Wednesday from 10am-8pm and Thursday-Friday from 9am to 2pm.  Currently she is offering telehealth sessions only but will also offer in-person appointments at our Bloomfield office once it re-opens.

Shakirah works with couples, adults, teens, and kids helping clients cope with trauma, depression, anxiety, and postpartum or infertility concerns.  Shakirah uses the Gottman Method in her work with couples to improve communication and increase emotional connection.  She specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing techniques and is both a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. Shakirah also has certificates in Perinatal Mental Health, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Spiritual Competency Training. Her practice is informed by her own experiences as a mother and by her spiritual orientation.  For clients who wish to do so, Shakirah can integrate Islamic principles and beliefs along with therapeutic techniques in session.  She has her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and works Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00am-5:00pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am-4:00pm and 6:30pm-8:30pm and Fridays from 9:00am-12:30pm and 2:30pm-5:00pm. Currently Shakirah is offering telehealth only due to COVID-19 but normally offers both in-person and video sessions.

MARIE JULES B.S.

Marriage and Family Therapy Intern, Bloomfield Office and Telehealth (NJ Clients Only)

Marie works with couples, adults and families who are navigating depression, anxiety, racial-related trauma, marital and relationship challenges, and substance abuse. She uses the Gottman Method in her work with couples to improve communication and increase emotional connection. In her work with adult clients, she draws on modalities such as narrative, and solution-focused therapy. Marie is one of our counseling interns and is currently pursuing her master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University. Having worked for 20+ years as a nurse (LPN) and having earned a BS in Health Services Management, Marie has a layered perspective to bring to her therapeutic work, balancing physical and emotional health goals in an approach that is compassionate, heart centered and non-judgmental. She can provide sessions in English and Haitian Creole. Marie works in the Bloomfield office and offers telehealth on Tuesdays 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Thursdays from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and Fridays from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.

SAJJADAH AL-AMIN B.A.

Psychotherapy Intern, Bloomfield Office and Telehealth (NJ Clients Only)

Sajjadah works with adults and teens with a focus on family and relationship challenges, overcoming addiction, and navigating a spiritual identity. She approaches therapy through a culturally competent, empathetic, and client-centered lens, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Theory. Sajjadah is one of our counseling interns and is pursuing a dual Master’s in Professional and School counseling. She works in the Bloomfield Office and currently offers telehealth on Mondays 10:00am to 2:00pm, Tuesdays from 10:00am-8:00pm, and Thursdays from 9:00am-3:00pm.  When the office re-opens she will have in-person appointments as well.

JANINE TERRITO, MSW, LSW

Psychotherapist, Jersey City Office (Providing Telehealth to NJ Residents)

Janine works with children, teens, and adults, with a special focus on mental health challenges related to infertility, pregnancy and postpartum. She believes in working creatively and collaboratively to help clients heal, grow, and achieve their goals. Janine has experience in school social work, and has worked with children with emotional and behavioral challenges. Janine has also completed perinatal training from Postpartum Support International. Her practice is informed by her training as a birth doula and her own experiences with parenthood, stepparenthood, adoption, and blended and multicultural families. Janine has her Masters in Education from Harvard University and her Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University.  She works on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 9:00am - 6:00pm, on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00pm - 9:00pm, and Saturdays from 9:00am-5:00pm.

ALISON M. URBAN, MSW, LSW

Alison works with adults,  couples, teens, and kids, with a special focus on helping teens and families heal from addiction. In her work with kids and teens she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and works with parents to implement strategies that work well for the family. In couples work, Alison draws on the Gottman method to increase emotional connection and improve communication.  With adult individuals, she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapies. Alison graduated with her Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University with a certificate in Promoting Child and Adolescent Well-Being.. Alison works Tuesdays from 8 - 5 pm Wednesdays and Thursdays 2 pm-9 pm, Fridays 8 am – 5 pm and Saturdays 9-5 pm. Currently she is offering telehealth sessions only but will also offer in-person appointments at our Bloomfield offices once they re-open.

ROBYN WILSON, MSW, LSW, CLC

Robyn works with adult individuals and couples. She specializes in helping clients work through depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, career concerns, relationship issues, and mental health challenges related to perinatal experiences (e.g., infertility, pregnancy, postpartum anxiety and depression). In her work with adult individuals, Robyn uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-focused techniques, and a Strengths-based approach, as well as coaching, to meet clients’ unique needs. In couples work, Robyn utilizes the Gottman Method, an evidenced-based therapeutic approach that increases effective communication and emotional connection. Robyn is passionate about helping her clients identify and maximize their strengths, and work through their challenges, so that they can improve their overall well-being, achieve their goals, and live more fulfilling and joyful lives on their terms. Robyn earned her Bachelor's in Psychology from Georgetown University and her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University, and she is a Licensed Social Worker in NJ and NY. Robyn is also a Certified Life Coach and Grief Coach, and she has completed training in Perinatal Mental Health Counseling. Robyn works Mondays from 8am-5pm, Tuesday from 9am-8pm, Wednesdays from 8:30-4:30pm, Thursdays from 9:30am-8pm and Friday from 8:30am-3:00pm.

KAREN MITCHELL, MSW, LSW

Karen works with teens, adults, couples, and families.  In her work with adolescents and families, she utilizes a Bowen Family Systems lens, emphasizing the family as a system where helping one person helps the whole.  In couples work, Karen draws on the Gottman method and Imago therapies to increase emotional connection and improve communication.  With adult individuals, she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapies. Karen specializes in work with trauma as well--she is certified in EMDR, a research-based treatment for traumatic memories, and incorporates this technique and other body-based work to treat survivors of abuse and sexual assault.  Karen often draws on neuroscience to explain behaviors and works with clients to understand the biological “why” behind their reactions, which empowers them to create more adaptive and useful life experiences.  She received her masters from Rutgers University, graduating with top honors, and is a Licensed Social Worker.  Karen works Mondays 12pm-8:30pm, Tuesdays & Wednesdays 12pm-9pm Thursday 9am-5pm, and Friday 9am-3pm.  Currently she is offering telehealth sessions only but will also offer in-person appointments at our Bloomfield office once it re-opens.

ZAHAYRA CARINO, MSW, LSW

Zahayra works with children, teens, adults and couples and has special expertise working with depression, anxiety, and trauma, especially race-related trauma. She is passionate about helping clients meet their goals and improve their overall well-being. MADELINE SALERNO, MSW, LSW

Madeline works with children, teens, and adults, using modalities like art therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Relief, and CBT to help people move toward happier, healthier lifestyles.  She has a special focus on grief and loss as well as perinatal and postpartum experiences and developmental disabilities.  In addition to experience in counseling settings, Madeline has also worked in hospital-based labor and delivery settings supporting women and families facing all kinds of loss and difficulty.  She is also a certified yoga teacher and offers meditation and body-based work in addition to talk-therapy.  Madeline obtained her Masters in Social Work from New York University and works Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:00am-3:00pm and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:00pm-8:00pm. Currently Madeline is offering telehealth only due to COVID-19 but normally offers both in-person and video sessions.

KERWIN DELVA, MSW, LSW

Kerwin works with children, teens, couples and adults with a special focus on couples therapy and work with trauma, PTSD, family conflict, and substance abuse recovery.  With children, Kerwin uses play therapy and mentoring techniques to build confidence and increase positive communication within the family.  In his work with couples, Kerwin draws on the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach that helps couples feel heard so they can rebuild trust and closeness.  Kerwin works with adults and particularly enjoys mentoring and supporting men as they develop a values-driven life and to build relationships that last.  Kerwin graduated from Kean University with his Masters in Social Work.  He is currently offering telehealth sessions on Mon: 10am-3pm, Tues:  2pm to 9pm, Wed: 10am-3pm, Thursdays 11-7pm, Friday 2pm-9pm, Saturday 9am-5pm.  When the office re-opens this summer he will have some in-office availability as well.

AUDREY AUGUSTAVE, M.A. LAC, NCC

Audrey earned her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at New Jersey City University, is a Licensed Associate Counselor, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and is currently finishing certification as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.  In addition to her therapeutic work, Audrey is also an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Union County College.  Audrey draws on extensive experience in the substance abuse field, which is really about creating personal change, and uses it in her work with couples and families to strengthen and rebuild connection. Audrey also works closely with adolescents, particularly those with a history of behavioral issues, helping teens and their families gain stability and strength. Audrey’s approach with adults focuses on effectively resolving trauma from the past and working to build a satisfying life and future.  In her work with couples, she uses the Gottman Method as well as a family systems approach.  Audrey is fluent in French (in addition to English) and is eager to be of service to the Francophone community of Hudson county. Audrey offers telehealth sessions on Mondays 11:00am – 8:30pm, Tuesdays 12:00pm – 4:00pm, Wednesdays 11:00am – 8:30pm, Thursdays 10:00am – 6:00pm, and Sundays 11:00am – 6:00pm.

KATERYNA SHUSHVAL B.A.

Kateryna works with teens and adults navigating life transitions, stress, relationship issues, and personal growth. She draws on mindfulness and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to help individuals reclaim awareness and reconnect with themselves and those around them.  She is also a certified meditation teacher and incorporates this approach along with other stress-reduction techniques.  Kateryna is one of our counseling interns and is getting a dual masters degree in professional counseling and school counseling at Seton Hall University.  Kateryna believes that each individual holds the key to wellness and healing, and she approaches therapy through a culturally competent and empathic lens. Kateryna works in the Bloomfield Office and offers telehealth on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-8pm.  When the office re-opens she will have in-person appointments as well.

JAIME ELLIOTT, M.A., LPC

Jaime works with couples, adults, teens, and children with a focus on couples therapy, adult depression, anxiety, and OCD, as well as teen social, behavioral and academic challenges.  In her work with couples, Jaime draws on the Gottman Method, an evidenced-based therapeutic approach that increases effective communication and emotional connection.  With adult individuals, Jaime uses CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), narrative thearpy, and a research-informed lens to her work.  Jaime is an excellent choice for children 8+ and teens because she is not only a therapist but also a certified school psychologist who is trained to administer and interpret the tests used to establish IEPs, 504 plans, gifted and talented capabilities, IQ scores, and more.  She holds a Masters in Psychology from New York University, a Masters in School Psychology from Hofstra University, and is a Certified School Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor.  Jaime offers telehealth sessions on Tuesday 9:30am-2:30pm, Wednesday 11:30am-8:30pm, Thursday 12pm-8:30pm, Friday 9:30am-6pm, and Saturday 9am- 5pm.

ROSA GOMEZ, M.S. LMFT

Rosa earned her masters from Seton Hall University in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with couples, families, individuals, and teens, assisting them on their path to growth, healing, and happiness. In her work with couples, Rosa specializes in the Gottman Method, a research-based approach that offers practical tools to improve communication, engage in healthy conflict, and increase emotional connection. She has extensive experience working with couples who are struggling to connect, as well as families dealing with the stressors of life transitions, and individuals who want to address anxiety, depression, racial-related trauma, and substance abuse. TOVA MCCALL, MSW, LSW, PMH-C

Site Director, Family Wellness Support Center, Jersey City Office (Providing Telehealth to NJ and NY Residents)

Tova is a Licensed Social Worker who works with couples, families, individuals, teens, and children.  She earned her masters from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, has experience in school counseling, and is certified in Perinatal Mental Health counseling. Tova specializes in work with new moms and women who are pregnant or post-conception, supporting them in the challenges that can arise in these stages of life. In her work with couples, Tova uses the Gottman Method, an evidenced-based therapeutic approach that increases effective communication and emotional connection. With children and teens and their families, Tova uses play therapy and narrative therapy methods within a family systems lens.  Tova values a holistic perspective in therapy, using the approach that will help each client most effectively, from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) techniques to trauma repair to practical supports like goal-setting and self-care ideas. She is fluent in French and English (and speaks Spanish at an intermediate level).  Tova works Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm.  Currently Tova is offering telehealth only due to COVID-19 but normally offers both in-person and video sessions.

JOEL LEVINE, M.S., LCSW, LPC, LCADC, LMFT

Executive Director, Bloomfield Office (NJ License)

Joel completed his Masters in Social Work at Fordham University and has been in the field for twenty years.  He runs our weekly treatment team meetings, providing clinical supervision and guidance to our staff therapists.  Joel is licensed as a Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, and a Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.  He is also certified as a Master Addiction Counselor, Advanced Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor, Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor.  He currently works as a therapist, agency director, and educator and is an invaluable member of our team.  (Joel does not see clients at RCC but instead supervises our clinical team drawing on his wealth of experience).

MELISSA SCHNEIDER, MSW, LCSW

Practice Owner, Jersey City Office (Providing Telehealth to NJ and NY Residents)

Melissa is our practice owner as well as staff therapist and a seasoned speaker and trainer.  After getting her masters in Clinical Social Work at Columbia University, she worked as a Wall St. wellness counselor and consultant for many years.  Melissa is trained in the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to strengthening relationships.  Some very smart people have spent decades studying what factors matter most in happy relationships and Melissa specializes in teaching the tools, strategies, and mindsets people can use to heal, gain clarity, make decisions, and grow a great relationship.  She launched Resolution Counseling Center in 2019 to create a user-friendly place for local couples, individuals, and teens to get excellent care from a hand-picked staff of caring professionals.  She is not taking on new clients in 2020 to focus on growing the business, but she is available to speak at conferences, workshops, retreats, or community events.
