HEYDON HENSLEY MSW, LSW

Heydon works with adults, children, teens, and families, helping clients navigate anxiety, trauma, and family conflict, as well as LGBTIQAA+/Queer-related challenges and identity development.  Heydon's therapeutic approach offers a focus on setting meaningful goals in the context of a larger societal framework. They bring strategies and tools from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy to the work while also drawing on personal experiences as a nonbinary transperson to support clients from all walks of life. Heydon received their MSW from Boston University with a specialization in working with survivors of trauma and violence. They work Tuesday through Saturday from 7am to 3pm. Currently Heydon offers telehealth sessions only with in-person appointments coming soon.

Carlene works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families with a focus on child and adolescent challenges, life transitions, religion and spirituality, career building, and navigating recovery and sobriety. Carlene combines years of experience in the business world and as a Life Coach with her therapeutic lens to help clients work through trauma, develop achievable goals, build their careers, and transforms the quality of their lives.  With couples and familes, she draws on the Gottman Method and Family Systems to reduce conflict and promote a cohesive and loving environment.  Carlene is one of our counseling interns and is pursuing her degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  She also holds an MBA, believes in serving her community, and is a proud family woman.  Carlene works Tuesdays 10am to 4pm, Wednesday 2pm to 8pm, and Friday 10am to 4pm, and Saturdays 9am to 5pm.

Lisa works with teens, adults, and couples with a focus on trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, relationships, health and illness, adolescent Identity, parenting, life coaching, and women’s Issues.  With couples, Lisa utilizes the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach to improving emotional connection and managing conflict.  In her work with adults, Lisa draws on a blend of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), somatic work, and life coaching to help clients reach their goals.  As a certified school social worker, Lisa has special expertise for teens and their families in navigating personal or academic struggles, identity formation, and social issues.  Lisa earned her Masters of Social Work from Stony Brook University, is certified in School Social Work, and has completed additional training at the New Jersey Institute of Psychoanalysis.  She is currently offering telehealth sessions 1-9pm M-F and we hope to offer in person sessions again soon.

In her work with couples, Olga draws on the Gottman Method and has expereince supporting couples in recovery or with any family history of addiction.  In addition, Olga is able to support clients through this sensitive adjustment period, navigating challenges like trauma, depression, anxiety, and identity formation. She is also a trained hypnotherapist and uses CBT, DBT and REBT in her work.  Olga holds an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montclair State University and a masters in Psychology from her home country and provides services in English or Russian as needed.  She works Sunday 11 am - 7:30 pm, Monday 10 am - 6:30 pm., Tuesday 9 am - 5:30, Wednesday 2 pm - 8 pm, Thursday 8 am - 4:30 pm.  Olga is currently offering telehealth only but our offices will reopen soon.

Meet Jaime here.  Jaime works with couples, teens (13+), and adults and has daytime, evening, and weekend appointments.  With couples, Jaime uses the Gottman Method, an evidenced-based therapeutic approach that increases effective communication and emotional connection.  With teens, Jaime uses CBT and solution-based approaches to address issues like ADHD, anxiety, depression, and academic success. She can help parents and families navigate 504 plans and IEPs as well.  In her work with adults, Jaime brings a CBT and family systems lens to her work.  Lastly, Jaime also offers psychological testing, which means she is trained to administer and interpret the kinds of assessments used to establish IEPs, 504 plans, gifted and talented capabilities, IQ scores, and more.  She holds a Masters in Psychology from New York University and a Masters in School Psychology from Hofstra University.  Jaime offers telehealth sessions on Tuesday 9:30am-2:30pm, Wednesday 11:30am-8:30pm, Thursday 12pm-8:30pm, Friday 9:30am-6pm, and Saturday 9am- 5pm.

She is also a certified meditation teacher and incorporates this approach along with other stress-reduction techniques.  Kateryna is one of our counseling interns and is getting a dual masters degree in professional counseling and school counseling at Seton Hall University.  Kateryna believes that each individual holds the key to wellness and healing, and she approaches therapy through a culturally competent and empathic lens. Kateryna works in the Bloomfield Office and offers telehealth on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-8pm.  When the office re-opens she will have in-person appointments as well.

She is also enthusiastic about assisting couples through infidelity history, intimacy & sex concerns, major life transitions, and frequent miscommunication using the Gottman Method. Audrey believes strongly in blending an empathetic approach with a healthy dose of honest reflection by compassionately challenging her clients to reach their goals. In addition to her therapeutic work, Audrey runs a podcast “Un-Loc’d” where she explores mental health and identity related topics through the Caribbean lens, a population she is extremely passionate about serving. Audrey earned her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at New Jersey City University, is a Licensed Associate Counselor, a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and is beginning a Sex Counseling Certification. Audrey offers telehealth sessions on Mondays 11:00am – 6:30pm, Tuesdays 10:00am – 4:30pm, Wednesdays 11:00am – 5:30pm, Thursdays 9:00am – 5:00pm, and Sundays 9:00am – 7:00pm.

KAREN MITCHELL, MSW, LSW

Karen works with teens, adults, couples, and families.  In her work with adolescents and families, she utilizes a Bowen Family Systems lens, emphasizing the family as a system where helping one person helps the whole.  In couples work, Karen draws on the Gottman method and Imago therapies to increase emotional connection and improve communication.  With adult individuals, she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapies. Karen specializes in work with trauma as well--she is certified in EMDR, a research-based treatment for traumatic memories, and incorporates this technique and other body-based work to treat survivors of abuse and sexual assault.  Karen often draws on neuroscience to explain behaviors and works with clients to understand the biological “why” behind their reactions, which empowers them to create more adaptive and useful life experiences.  She received her masters from Rutgers University, graduating with top honors, and is a Licensed Social Worker.  Karen works Mondays 12pm-8:30pm, Tuesdays & Wednesdays 12pm-9pm Thursday 9am-5pm, and Friday 9am-3pm.  Currently she is offering telehealth sessions only but will also offer in-person appointments at our Bloomfield office once it re-opens.

TOVA MCCALL, MSW, LSW, PMH-C

Tova is a Licensed Social Worker who works with couples, families, individuals, teens, and children.  She earned her masters from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, has experience in school counseling, and is certified in Perinatal Mental Health counseling. Tova specializes in work with new moms and women who are pregnant or post-conception, supporting them in the challenges that can arise in these stages of life. In her work with couples, Tova uses the Gottman Method, an evidenced-based therapeutic approach that increases effective communication and emotional connection. With children and teens and their families, Tova uses play therapy and narrative therapy methods within a family systems lens.  Tova values a holistic perspective in therapy, using the approach that will help each client most effectively, from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) techniques to trauma repair to practical supports like goal-setting and self-care ideas. She is fluent in French and English (and speaks Spanish at an intermediate level).  Tova works Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm.  Currently Tova is offering telehealth only due to COVID-19 but normally offers both in-person and video sessions.

JOEL LEVINE, M.S., LCSW, LPC, LCADC, LMFT

Joel completed his Masters in Social Work at Fordham University and has been in the field for twenty years.  He runs our weekly treatment team meetings, providing clinical supervision and guidance to our staff therapists.  Joel is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, and a Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.  He is also certified as a Master Addiction Counselor, Advanced Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor, Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor.  He currently works as a therapist, agency director, and educator and is an invaluable member of our team.  (Joel does not see clients at RCC but instead supervises our clinical team drawing on his wealth of experience).

Melissa is our practice owner as well as staff therapist and a seasoned speaker and trainer.  After getting her masters in Clinical Social Work at Columbia University, she worked as a Wall St. wellness counselor and consultant for many years.  Melissa is trained in the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to strengthening relationships.  Some very smart people have spent decades studying what factors matter most in happy relationships and Melissa specializes in teaching the tools, strategies, and mindsets people can use to heal, gain clarity, make decisions, and grow a great relationship.  She launched Resolution Counseling Center in 2019 to create a user-friendly place for local couples, individuals, and teens to get excellent care from a hand-picked staff of caring professionals.  She is not taking on new clients in 2020 to focus on growing the business, but she is available to speak at conferences, workshops, retreats, or community events.
